Dean has been out of the wheelchair for about two weeks now and has mastered the use of his walker. April 10th he goes in for x-rays to see how the healing is going and we hope to gain the okay from the doctors to start putting pressure on the leg.

Poor guy! Glad to hear he is doing better!
I'm ashamed to say that because you post so infrequently I visit your blog rather infrequently and was saddened...uh...and then gladdened to read Dean's news.
We were recently in Redmond. Avery kept saying, "I want to go visit those Powell boys. I want to go visit those Powell boys." Unfortunately Tenley fell into a mud puddle up to her ears and we decided to come back to the harbor.
Man, Alice broke her tibia a few weeks ago but didn't have to have surgery! That's rough...what a trooper Dean is.
