Catching up

It is a quiet Halloween night. My kids have over 100 pieces of candy... each!

Here is the latest and greatest as of 5 months ago and of which I was planning on sharing earlier (of course).

May/June: Had a great time in Gig Harbor for Memorial Day. Hung out with Baxters (thanks) and Cahoons. Decided to sell the Woodinville place (my idea). It is warm enough to start hanging at the beach/pool. Also, I am convinced that another Halloween party would be a great idea.

July: Had a fantastic fire works show. I believe we had around 75 people show. For the first time we had sparks fly into the audience and even smolder a blanket! Adam courageously blocked the segued firework with his leg...

Went to Utah. Got to see a temple open house, stayed with John & Lani (thanks) saw many many friends and family. Went to Reid Ranch for a family reunion. Trip of a lifetime. Reed found a love of archery. And we went to the water park (of course).
Enjoyed a week of Cub Scout camp with the boys. Never thought they would let 7-9 year old boys shoot guns, cook over a fire, shoot arrows or use a awl and hammer by themselves. It was an experience and we are excited for next year.

Celebrated Reeds 7th birthday!

August: Made some applesauce, canned boxes of peaches and tomatoes. Spent a long long time digging a drainage system under the Woodinville house. Adam was told it was a "professional" job by the inspector (there is more to that story). Eventually sold the house and they of course immediately remodeled it.
September: Back to school. Mom over celebrates both kids being in school full time and has way too many things than time to do. Happy tenth honey! Bedroom furniture got a "mahogany" color from a spray can. Finished redoing the family room/kitchen and the next project is to paint the "playroom" which may become a "bedroom".

October: Halloween party. Really ridiculous but so much fun. We had a Hollywood theme and made a back lot tour of mock movies: "Attack of the killer green jello", "Dusk" (filmed in the town of sporks WA), "creature from the laundry room", "Pirates of the Titanic" and "Star Shrek". Thanks Rachel for the pics.

I am sure the (very few) pictures will tell a better story!
