Nothing $pecial

I must state right of the bat that the past month has been full of small miracles and/or blessings. It would appear that the next few weeks will hold more of them as we will be having some special family moments. Perhaps I will set aside more time to share them with you?
With all the news of the economy you would think that we are all doomed. As I type to you the news is covered with news and words such as "sign of the times" and "credit crisis". At this time I am not sure what to think about all this. Now I do have my opinions on many aspects, but I wonder how much of this is driven my the media? Interesting that KOMO is doing a piece right now about the increase of people shopping at Thrift stores. They've even stated that 30% of their shoppers make over 100k a year. I find it interesting that this is news and that they even go as far as saying, "Even this man, a Microsoft employee, is shopping with his four children to purchase Halloween costumes. Each child has a limit of no more than $10 each."
Enough on that rambling mess. This is what you get when I post during the 11 pm news.
The boys are enjoying school and I even look forward to reviewing their school work giving my opinion (my wife knows that I have plenty of that - opinions). My wife is keeping the boys home in the morning and homeschooling them. Then during the middle of the morning they go and join their friends at the elementary school.
Well it is late and I am without a focus. Part of me could just not stand that the last post was over a month ago. Perhaps I should post some pictures next time?

It doesn't surprise me that 30% of thrift store clientel make 100K or more. Wealthy people are some of the thriftiest out there, that's why they are wealthy!

Perhaps if all consumers (and government) followed that example and lived within their means instead of piling up the debt, we wouldn't be in this mess right now?
