Santa...good or bad?

I was talking with my sister-in-law today about Santa and I thought that I should bring this up. I am "on the fence" with the Santa thing. You'd think that by now I would have this figured out, but I haven't.

The question for me is on the thought that I am lying to my kids about the existence of Santa. When I bring this up with my wife she breathes in deeply and walks away. I don't think she sees any issue with it...and there probably is not.

Reed has been going around for the past few days singing, "he knows when you are sleeping, he knows when you're awake. He knows if you've been bad or good, so be good for goodness sake." Cutest thing to hear and see.

What do you parents out there think or do?

Dude, Adam...chill. That was from Dennis. =) I kind of agree...what's not to love about Santa??? I'm actually surprised that you of all people have a problem with this! It's about fostering love in the world...are you a love hater???? Ask yourself that sometime...and get back to me.

Nothing like the topic of Santa to stir the hearts. I think there are things to love about Santa. I am not against the "Santa" concept, but rather was giving it some additional thought.
So, I will "chill" till later this year and see where my heart takes me.
BTW, we received your timely family holiday letter. Thanks for the updates.
Signed...The love hater.

Wait, so is this a moral dilemma? I always though lying to them helped them choose the right.
